this is kind of a broad question but i will answer it to the best simplified ability i can right now in my srudio the top mastering/ eq plugins used is waves mercury 7 and lexicon bundle for reverb which in my book is the top and probably the only reverb i will ever use again for vsti i particularly like refx vangaurd and all the plugins that go with it i like guitar pro 5 and ez drummer with all expansion packs included for live sounding band stuff i also like any rob papen vsti plugins such as blue and preditor almost any native instrument especially reaktor and battery machine is a beast too if u have the external hardware.. i do most of my production currently in cubase 5 rewiring reason 5 or fl 9 xxl studio for the sequencer in fl mainly no stock sounds ever not even worth looking at if u ask me… plus cubase has a pretty gud stock plug in called groovestation which if configured right u can use it just like an mpc also the anatres bundle i have rocks including a microphone modeler much like an amp modeler in guitar pro 5.. i think that covers most of it however it depends on the track im working on at the time and the feel and style im working towards at the time determines what i exactly use in it..
